Lahinch Castle Course

Scenic links course set beside Lahinch’s famous Old Course, combining coastal terrain, river views and a more relaxed playing experience without losing the character of traditional Irish links golf. The Castle Course winds through tranquil natural surroundings beside the tidal River Inagh, with views of Dough Castle and the surrounding dunes adding to its distinctive atmosphere. Independent guests are welcome, with tee times generally available from late April to mid October. The course provides a more forgiving and accessible experience than Lahinch’s championship Old Course while still offering links-style shot-making and changing coastal conditions. A recognised handicap is required, with a maximum handicap index of 24 for men and 36 for women. While more playable than the Old Course, wind conditions and fast-running links greens can still provide a meaningful challenge. Green fees sit in the mid-range category, offering strong value at one of Ireland’s best-known golf destinations and making it an attractive alternative for golfers wanting the Lahinch experience at a lower price point.
