A dramatic championship links course set along the Wild Atlantic Way west of Clifden in Connemara. Designed by renowned Irish architect Eddie Hackett and celebrating over 50 years of golf, Connemara Golf Links is Galway’s highest-ranked and only true links course. The layout combines rugged Atlantic scenery, rolling dunes and challenging golf, with views across white sandy beaches, the Atlantic Ocean, Slyne Head Lighthouse and the Twelve Bens mountains. An additional nine holes opened in 2000, adding further variety to the golfing experience. Visitor access is available throughout the year on the Championship Course, with online booking available. A separate 9-hole course (C9) operates from April to October. Practice and visitor facilities include a clubhouse bar and restaurant, pro shop, putting green, practice range, golf carts, rental clubs and tuition. Handicap requirements are not specified. A premium links golf experience. Championship course green fees range from €160 (November to March) to €220 (April to October), placing Connemara among Ireland’s stronger premium golf destinations. A 9-hole option is also available during the summer season.
